Lausanne Marathon, live.

Along Lake Geneva into the Lavaux vineyards

The Lausanne Marathon runs along the shore of Lake Geneva and into the Lavaux vineyards on Sunday 24 October 2027.

Three races share the day. The half marathon starts first at 08:40, the marathon at 10:10 and the 10 km at 14:05, with walkers setting off from 14:33. Every race finishes at the village in Bellerive by the lake.

Since 2024 the marathon course goes further into the Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as far as Cully. The route has only 80 metres of climbing and 146 metres of descent, and the organiser speaks of the incredible panorama of the Lavaux on the way to Cully.

The first edition in 1993 was held alongside the opening of the Olympic Museum. Over 24 editions the race grew from 1,000 to 15,296 participants, and more than 13,000 people entered in 2023 and 2024. The field has been limited since the 25th edition in 2017.

According to the organiser, the finish village formula at Bellerive has won people over, and since 2024 the Pavillon Naftule gives runners a large bag drop about 50 metres from the finish.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Lausanne Marathon.
