The 37th Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run crosses the North Shore mountains from West Vancouver to North Vancouver on 10 July 2027.

The Knee Knacker is a 30 mile trail race along the Baden-Powell Centennial Trail, from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver to Deep Cove in North Vancouver, British Columbia. It began in 1989 as a group run with eight participants and quickly grew into what the organisers call the largest ultramarathon race in Canada. The 2027 race on 10 July is the 37th annual edition.

The course climbs about 8,000 feet and descends about 8,300 feet. The first climb up to Eagle Bluffs gains 900 metres in under 5 km. From there the route crosses Cypress, drops to Cleveland Dam, passes the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve and Mount Seymour Road, and finishes at Panorama Park in Deep Cove. Participants are checked at four mandatory checkpoints, and strict cutoffs apply along the way.

Places are given by random selection to a field of 262 runners, and registration for 2027 opens in December 2026. The race suits experienced trail participants who are comfortable on steep, rooty North Shore trail. It is run by the Northshore Ultra Trailrunning Society, a non profit group of local runners, and has raised $204,000 for charities since it began.

Friends and families gather at Panorama Park in Deep Cove, where the finish line party in the park and the awards bring the day to a close.
