The 15 km classic through Kerzers and its villages

The 49th Kerzerslauf takes place on Saturday 20 March 2027 in Kerzers, with the classic 15 km, a 10 km, a 5 km and short races for children.

The Kerzerslauf starts and finishes in Kerzers, in the canton of Fribourg. The 15 km, which the organiser calls the classic, is varied and demanding. It runs over roads, field paths and gravel, through forest, along a lake shore and through a nature reserve, and passes through Kerzers and the surrounding villages.

The 10 km, described as the compromise, follows almost the same terrain and differs only slightly from the original route. The 15 km starts on the Vordere Gasse in start zone 1, later blocks and the 10 km start on the Hintere Gasse in start zone 2, and both finish in the Herresrain. There is also a 5 km, and children run 2.4 km, 1.6 km or 0.3 km. Walkers start at the beginning of the start window and are asked to walk correctly, or they are moved to the running categories.

All participants travel free by public transport from their home to Kerzers and back, in second class, with personal coupons sent by email. Travel to the race is valid from 18 to 20 March 2027 and the return from 20 to 22 March 2027.

The registration deadline is Monday 8 March 2027, with late entries at a surcharge after that and on site until one hour before the start. A warm-up party takes place on Friday 19 March 2027.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Kerzerslauf.
