Kauno Akropolio maratonas, live.

A spring marathon day at Kauno Akropolis

The Kauno Akropolio maratonas is the spring road marathon of Kaunas, Lithuania's second city, with races for every level on one Sunday.

The Kauno Akropolio maratonas 2027 is on Sunday 25 April 2027. It is organised by VšĮ Kauno maratono klubas, and the event centre is at Kauno Akropolis on Karaliaus Mindaugo prospect. The race is a member of AIMS, and the marathon, half marathon and 10 km courses are certified.

The marathon of 42.195 km and the half marathon of 21.098 km start together at 8:30. The marathon has a time limit of 5:30 and is open from 18 years, the half has a limit of 2:45 and is open from 16. Timing closes at 16:30 when the city streets reopen.

The shorter races fill the afternoon. The 400 m children's race starts at 12:30, the 1.5 km family run at 13:00, the 5 km at 14:00 with a 50 minute limit and the 10 km at 15:00 with a 1:30 limit. That spread makes it easy for a family to have several people racing on the same day.

Spectators can base themselves at the event centre at Kauno Akropolis, where the races start and the services are. Every finisher within the time limit receives a commemorative medal.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from the organiser.
