An evening half marathon through the spa town

The Mattoni Running Festival Karlovy Vary is a RunCzech road race day in the spa town of Karlovy Vary, built around an evening half marathon.

The 2027 race day is Saturday 15 May. RunCzech organises it as part of the same series as the Prague half marathon and marathon. Entry fees for the half marathon rise from 36 to 52 EUR as more people sign up.

The Mattoni Half Marathon of 21.097 km starts at 18:00 on a World Athletics certified course that runs past the Thermal and Pupp hotels, the colonnades and landmarks on the UNESCO list. The course records are 1:00:54 for men, set by Wilfred Kimitei, and 1:08:19 for women, by Yvonne Jelagat. Teams can run it as a relay of three 5 km legs and a final leg of 6.0975 km.

Earlier in the day the Varyáda 10k starts at 14:00, a good distance for people who want a race in the town without the full half. Children have the dm bambini runs at 14:00, and the dm family mile of 1.609 km starts at 16:00.

The organiser shows the 2026 course map and says the 2027 map will follow. Spectators can stand in the spa quarter, where the course passes the colonnades.
