KAGASPA 50K

KAGASPA 50K

The organiser calls the 50K the first step into the ultra distance at Kaga Spa. It starts from the same village as the 100K, but at dawn rather than dusk, and uses part of the same ground. The aid-station table lists Mt. Kariyasu at km 8.5, Kutani Dam at 16.3, Kutani Shinsui Park at 21.1, Imadate Aios Square at 30.0, Takigahara at 41.5 and Tonoo at 49.7, before the finish at Yamanaka-za. From Imadate Aios Square on, the 50K runs the same final stations as the 100K.

That makes Sunday afternoon at Yamanaka-za a meeting point: the 100K started at 18:30 the evening before and has until 21:30, while the 50K has 14 hours, to 19:00. Runners from both races come down through Takigahara and Tonoo into town on the same day. The top three men and women earn a place in OCC at the UTMB Final.

This page belongs to the 2026 KAGASPA 50K. With a Livebib link, family see the runner’s position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate for Yamanaka-za that updates as the race goes. Anything estimated is marked as estimated. If the phone loses signal in the forest, the position is carried forward along the course rather than freezing. No account or app is needed, and the runner decides who gets the link.
