Three starts, one finish in Kranjska Gora

A UTMB World Series weekend in north-west Slovenia where the long races start in three different towns and every one of them ends in Kranjska Gora.

The 2026 edition ran from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September. The I Feel Slovenia 120K (122 km, 5,855 m+) left Radovljica at 21:00 on Friday and ran through the night. The Sky Trail 50K (55 km, 2,828 m+) left Žirovnica at 08:00 the same morning, in two waves, and the Lake Bled 80K (80 km, 3,866 m+) left Bled at 08:00 on Saturday. On Sunday four shorter races looped out of Kranjska Gora itself: the 25K, the Intersport Speed 15K, the Vitranc Funny 10K and the Next Gen 10K for runners aged 10 to 18.

The three long lines share a spine. From Žirovnica the course climbs to Mt. Stol, at 2174 m the highest point of the 120K, then follows the Karavanke ridge over Golica and Klek before dropping to Mojstrana, crossing the flat Upper Sava Valley and climbing once more toward Srednji vrh above Gozd Martuljek. The last kilometres are a descent into Kranjska Gora. The 120K adds Jelovica, Babji zob and Lake Bled before all that. The 80K adds Vintgar Gorge.

For anyone following, the hard part is the gap between towns: a ridge that runs for hours, a gorge, a whole night on the 120K. On Livebib the runner shares a link to their own broadcast, and family and friends open it in a browser, no account and no app needed. They see the position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate for Kranjska Gora that updates as the race goes. When the phone loses signal under the ridge or in the gorge, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated instead of freezing.
