Jackass Night Trail 31K
Thirty-one kilometres — one lap of the Pemberton loop, run by headlamp through the saguaro at night. It is the opening act of the Javelina weekend: a short, fast desert race that lets runners who are not taking on the hundred see the course, and lets crews who arrive early get a night in the park before the real work starts.
The desert at night is a different place from the desert at noon, which is most of the point. This page belongs to the 2026 edition of the Jackass Night Trail.
