Skiing on the ice of Rännösjön

ICA-Loppet is a recreational ski race run by Matfors SK, starting and finishing at Rännöbadet in Matfors.

ICA-Loppet is a recreational ski race organised by the ski club Matfors SK, open to seniors, juniors and young people. The organiser describes terrain that recalls the Vasaloppet tracks, and the race counts towards seeding for Vasaloppet, which is why many people use it as part of their winter build up.

According to the organiser, the ICA track runs through mixed, easy going terrain. Large parts of it are on the ice of Rännösjön, with two detours up onto the surrounding fields at Rännö and Fors. Start and finish are at the SCA ski stadium at Rännöbadet in Matfors. The track is shared by many people, so the club asks everyone to help each other and keep right when they can, and to drop litter such as gel wrappers only in the litter zones by the drink stations.

The 2027 race is on Sunday 31 January 2027. The organiser announces 42 km and 21 km, alongside shorter distances of 5 and 10 km, so there is a choice for the whole field. Check the club's page and the invitation for start times and entry details closer to the day.

Family and friends can watch at the stadium at Rännöbadet, where the field starts and finishes. Anyone taking part can choose to share their own live position on Livebib from their phone, so people at home can follow along. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Matfors SK.
