A trail race through Göingeskogen

Hövdingeloppet is a trail race through the forests of Göingeskogen, with start and finish at Mölleröd near Verum in northern Skåne.

Hövdingeloppet is a trail race through the woods of Göingeskogen that anyone can take part in. On 11 September 2027 the organisers hold the thirteenth edition, run together with Verums GoIF and local sponsors. Start and finish are at Mölleröd, 2 km from Verum between Vittsjö and Osby, and the organisers cap the field at 250 participants.

The course runs mostly on gravel roads and forest tracks. The 10 km starts on top of a small hill, so the first stretch goes downhill on gravel road for about 800 metres before turning left onto Skåneleden and into the forest. After just 1 km the route passes through Kärleksdalen, a valley the organisers single out as a highlight. They say the course is well signposted and that marshals show the way.

There are two distances, 10 km and 4.8 km, with classes for men, women and young people under 18. The 10 km starts at 11.00 and the 4.8 km at 11.15. Everyone who finishes gets a medal, prizes go to the top three in each class and there is a prize draw on bib numbers once the whole field is in.

Spectators at the finish area can buy coffee, sausages and soft drinks. Anyone taking part can choose to share their own live position from their phone on Livebib, so friends and family can follow along from home. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results are posted on site and on the organiser's website.
