An early start in the heart of Saigon

The Ho Chi Minh City Marathon, held with Eximbank as title partner, starts and finishes at 30th April Park in the city centre.

The 2027 race is on Sunday 17 January. The 42 km starts at 3:00 and has a time limit of 6 hours, the 21 km starts at 3:30 and the 10 km at 4:15. All three start and finish at 30th April Park on Le Duan Street, in the Saigon Ward. The half marathon has a cut-off of 3 hours and 30 minutes and the 10 km a cut-off of 2 hours.

The early starts give participants the cooler hours before sunrise. January is in the dry season, but the city is still warm, so the second half of the marathon tends to feel harder than the first.

The courses run through the heart of Ho Chi Minh City in the dark hours before dawn. Roads reopen to traffic after each cut-off, so runners who fall behind the cut-off at a checkpoint are not allowed to continue.

The event is organised by Pulse Active. Race kits are collected at the Hoa Lu Sports Center on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 January, and there is no pick-up on race morning. Spectators can gather around 30th April Park, where every distance starts and finishes.
