A road day across the border to Norway

Fjällturen Landsväg is the road cycling day of the Fjällturen week, with start and finish at Hamra Livs in Tänndalen in Funäsfjällen.

Fjällturen Landsväg is the road day of Fjällturen, a cycling week in Funäsfjällen held since 2012. On 21 July 2027 the field rides from Tänndalen over the border into Norway and back. There are classes for women, men and e-bikes, and a helmet is compulsory.

The 120 km Landsvägsloppet starts at Hamra Livs in Tänndalen at 10.00. The course passes Fjällnäs on the way up to the border at Vauldalen, then runs down to Brekken and along what the organiser calls a magically fine road to Röros. From there it turns towards Orvos, goes around Aursundet with views the whole way and returns past Glåmos to Brekken, before the climb to the border and the finish. Aid stations are at Brekken, Orvos and the finish.

The 52 km Landsvägslopp kort starts at 11.30 from the Tydalsfjäll rest area, 920 metres above sea level on the Norwegian fell above Stugudal. A bus takes participants from Tänndalen to the start and must be booked in advance. After a long descent the course reaches Brekken after 28 km and then shares the climb to Vauldalen and Fjällnäs with the long course.

For people who come to watch, both courses finish at Hamra Livs, and prize giving is at 16.00 at Tänndalen Ski Lodge, with after bike and music. A participant can choose to share their own live position on Livebib from the phone they carry, so family and friends can follow from home. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from the organiser.
