Along the Upper Engadine lakes from Sils to St. Moritz

The 48th Engadin Sommerlauf runs 22.9 km along the lakes of the Upper Engadine from Sils to St. Moritz Bad on Sunday 22 August 2027.

The classic course starts at the Sils school building at 10:15 and covers 22.9 km with 283 m up and 318 m down. It runs from Sils to Silvaplana, over the Surlej bridge and back, through Champfèr and along the Inn to St. Moritz Bad, then loops past the Stazersee, through the Stazerwald and along the far shore to the finish at Ludains by Lake St. Moritz. Larch forests and the largest lakes of the Upper Engadine set the scene, and the finish closes at 15:00.

Two shorter races finish in the same place. The 32nd Run Pontresina starts at Rondo Pontresina at 10:00 and covers 10.4 km with 180 m of climbing through the Val Roseg and the Stazerwald. The 4th Run S starts at 10:00 on the village square in Silvaplana and runs 6 km with hardly any climbing along the lakes. Both can also be done as Nordic walking. On Saturday 21 August the Kids Race, from 0.5 to 2.6 km, and a 1 km Run for Fun take place at the Sommerlauf-Village in St. Moritz Bad.

With the bib you travel free on public transport within the Upper Engadine tariff network on race day, to the start and back from the finish. A bag can be left at each start and is taken to the finish. Late entry on site is possible until 30 minutes before the start if places remain.

The race is organised by the association behind the Engadin Skimarathon, and began more than 45 years ago as a summer counterpart to the ski race.
