E16 - Pleasure Trail
Sixteen kilometres and 950 metres of climbing — the short race of the Eiger weekend, and the one that fills with people running their first mountain event. The course climbs out of Grindelwald onto the balcony paths under the north face, holds that height long enough for the view to do its work, and comes back down into the village to the same finish arch as the hundred-kilometre race.
The time limit is four hours, so the whole field is home in the middle of the day. This page belongs to the 2027 running of the E16. On Livebib, supporters can see exactly where their runner is on the loop and when to expect them at the arch — which is the difference between watching the finish and hearing about it afterwards, on a race short enough to be missed by ten minutes.
