Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon, live.

A September half marathon in Phoenix Park and Castleknock

The Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile road race in and around Phoenix Park, starting at 9am on Sunday 19 September 2027.

The half marathon is part of the Irish Life Dublin Race Series, which leads up to the Irish Life Dublin Marathon on Sunday 24 October 2027. Entries for all series events open on 10 February. Before the half come the Irish Life Fingal 10K in Swords on Sunday 11 July and the Irish Life Frank Duffy 10 Mile in Phoenix Park on Saturday 14 August.

The race starts at 9am on Chesterfield Avenue in Phoenix Park, which the organiser describes as Europe's largest enclosed public park. On the route published for 2026 the course goes around the south side of the park past the Wellington Monument, leaves through Castleknock Gate for a stretch through Castleknock, comes back in through White Gate for a loop of the park and finishes on Furze Road. Check the organiser's page for the 2027 route closer to the day.

Thousands of runners take part. The start is on the tree lined Chesterfield Avenue, and the organiser promises a fast, spectator lined finish straight on Furze Road.

With so many runners arriving at once, the organiser asks everyone to allow plenty of time to travel on race morning, and its site has pages on road and route closures and on wave allocation.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon.
