A half marathon from Stradun and a race on the walls

Du Motion is a spring running weekend in Dubrovnik with a half marathon from the Old City and a short race on the City Walls.

Du Motion 2027 is on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April 2027 in Dubrovnik. The main race is the Dubrovnik Half Marathon on Sunday at 09:30, which starts and finishes on Stradun in the Old City and has a time limit of three hours.

From Stradun the half marathon goes along St. Dominik Street and through the Ploče Gate, round to Pile, then along Put od Republike and the coast to Komolac and back the same way, finishing through the Pile Gate on Stradun. The field is limited to 1,000 participants and registration closes on 31 March 2027.

On Saturday at 10:00 Run The Wall takes up to 100 participants onto the Dubrovnik City Walls, which are 1,940 m long, with 1,080 steps on old stone that can be slippery. It is sold out for 2027. The weekend also has a 5K charity race and a kids race.

Race packages include entry to the City Walls, and some also include a trip to Lokrum island. Stradun is the place for supporters, as the half marathon starts and finishes there.
