Cykelgear Gravel Cup #4 – Breakaway CC (Vejle), live.

Seven times past the depot at Tinnetgaard

The final round of the 2026 Cykelgear Gravel Cup is a lap race at Vonge, west of Vejle, where every rider comes back past the same depot until their class’s laps are done.

The race is on Sunday 4 October 2026 at Tinnetgaard Bo- og Erhvervsskole, Hammervej 28, Vonge, hosted by Breakaway Cycling Club with Danmarks Cykle Union. Start and finish are in the same place. The youth classes start from 09:00 on a 16 km lap; from 10:30 the senior and age-group classes go off two minutes apart on the long lap, from elite men over seven laps (140 km) down to three laps (60 km) for the oldest age groups. Elite and U23 women ride six laps, 120 km, from 10:42.

The long lap is about 20 km (the roadbook route measures 19), roughly half asphalt and half wide forest roads with fast gravel. It starts fast and downhill into a technical corner and a hard climb, has a hard hill about 600 metres in and more short kickers each lap, and runs about three kilometres of gravel before the first asphalt. It is mostly one-way, with short two-way stretches on Tinnetvej near the finish. The only depot and waste zone is on the right just past the finish line, and mechanical help is allowed only there.

A lap race is hard to read from the roadside: riders pass the depot again and again, and it is not obvious who is on which lap. A Livebib broadcast that the rider shares makes it plain. It opens in a browser, no account and no app, and shows the rider’s position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Anything estimated is marked as estimated, and the rider decides who gets the link.
