Three distances through Cork city

The Analog Devices Cork City Marathon offers a full marathon, a half marathon and a 10 km run or walk through Cork, organised by Cork City Council.

The 2027 edition is on Sunday 6 June 2027. Cork City Council is the organiser, with Analog Devices as title sponsor. For the first time, places in all three races were allocated through a ballot, which ran from 15 June to 30 June 2026 after record demand. Those who missed out go on a waiting list, and there are also charity places, an official transfer window and a good for age system.

More than 12,300 participants took part across the three races in 2026, when new start and finish lines were set on Grand Parade and South Mall in the city centre. The marathon and half marathon are open to those aged 18 and over, and the 10K to those aged 15 and over with parental or guardian consent.

The marathon has experienced pacers every 15 minutes from 3 hours to 5 hours, at least two at each time, and they pace to chip time. Every bib carries a timing chip. Race packs with bib and chip are collected at Cork City Hall before race day and are not posted out, and the baggage drop is also at City Hall.

The organiser strongly discourages headphones, and welcomes participants who carry their own bottles or a hydration pack to cut down on plastic. Wheeled devices are not allowed on the course apart from wheelchairs, with exceptions for specialist running buggies only by prior permission.

Livebib lets family and friends follow a participant live if that person chooses to share the position of the phone they carry. It is not the organiser's timing system, and official results always come from the organiser.
