Bank Jateng Borobudur Marathon, live.

Start and finish beside Borobudur Temple in Central Java

The Bank Jateng Borobudur Marathon brings a marathon, a half marathon and a 10K to the Lumbini Park area of Borobudur Temple on 15 November 2026.

The Bank Jateng Borobudur Marathon 2026 is on Sunday 15 November 2026. The start and the finish are in the Lumbini Park area of Borobudur Temple, in Magelang, Central Java. This edition celebrates a decade of the event under the theme Decade of Legacy.

There are three distances, all run on the day. The marathon is 42.195 km with a cut off time of 6 hours and 30 minutes, the half marathon is 21.097 km with 3 hours and 40 minutes, and the 10K has 2 hours. The organiser will also use cut off points along the course on selected categories and will publish where and when closer to race day. Minimum ages are 18 for the marathon, 16 for the half and 14 for the 10K.

Places are given through several programmes, among them a ballot and the Bank Jateng savings programme, and bibs cannot be transferred or sold. Drinks stations are on all courses and at the finish, and the marathon and half marathon also have fruit and sponge stations. The race suits people who want a marathon beside Borobudur Temple rather than in a city centre.

For spectators, the meeting point is Lumbini Park, where every race starts and ends. Podiums are awarded overall for all nationalities and nationally for Indonesian citizens, and the marathon has a masters category for Indonesians aged 40 and over. Road safety on the day is handled by the police and the transport authorities, so follow their instructions near the course.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
