A race for blood donation inside Visby's walls

Blodomloppet Visby is a fitness race for blood donation, with start and finish at Gutavallen in Visby on Gotland.

Blodomloppet Visby is the Gotland stop of Blodomloppet, a series of fitness races held across Sweden to draw attention to blood donation. In Visby it is organised by VIF Gute Friidrott together with Blodcentralen i Visby, and the 2027 edition is on 15 June. People walk, jog or run, and the organiser reports 2448 participants in 2026.

Start and finish are at Gutavallen, in the centre of Visby. The 5 km course follows the town wall and the inner town with its cultural heritage. The 10 km course also runs along the town wall and the seafront promenade and through Almedalen and Visby harbour. Lilla Blodomloppet over 1.6 km stays in the town streets, and the 300 m race is held on the track inside Gutavallen.

The field chooses between 10 km and 5 km with timing, a 5 km walking class where dogs on a lead are welcome, and the children's races Lilla Blodomloppet 1.6 km and 300 m. The organiser notes that its practical information will be updated ahead of 2027, so check start times on the Visby page.

For those who come to watch, Gutavallen is the hub. There is a children's area with a bouncy castle and face painting, exhibitors on the infield, a warm up with Friskis & Svettis and picnic bags to enjoy on the grass. Anyone taking part can choose to share their own live position on Livebib from their phone, so family and friends can follow from home. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from the organiser.
