Walk, jog or run for blood donation in Uppsala

Blodomloppet Uppsala is a walking and running event for blood donation, held at Gränby sportfält in Uppsala.

Blodomloppet Uppsala is part of the Blodomloppet series, held to draw attention to blood donation. People are welcome to walk, jog or run, alone or with colleagues and friends. Upsala IF Friidrott organises the Uppsala event, which the organiser says had 10503 participants in 2026. Blood donors who said so when registering can collect a gift at the GeBlod tent.

The event is based at Gränby sportfält, beside IFU Arena and the city's athletics arena. The start is on the south side of IFU Arena and the finish is inside the athletics arena. The 2.5 km races go through Gränbyparken and also finish in the arena. Course maps for each distance are published on the organiser's page, and the 10 km course is the one that is officially measured.

The main distances are 10 km and 5 km with chip timing, and 5 km can also be walked. Lilla Blodomloppet 2.5 km is a timed race for young people, Specialomloppet over 2.5 km is for people with disabilities or other adapted needs, and Lilla Blodomloppet over 800 metres is for children on the arena track.

For spectators, the children's races start first and the 10 km and 5 km starts follow in the evening, with the finish line inside the arena. Parking is very limited, so the organiser recommends other ways of getting there. A person taking part can choose to share their own live position on Livebib from their phone. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from the organiser.
