Blodomloppet Linköping, live.

A run for blood donation along the Stångån

Blodomloppet Linköping is a 5 km and 10 km walk, jog or run on 20 May 2027, with start and finish at Stångebro Sportfält in Linköping.

Blodomloppet is a series of events that draws attention to blood donation, and the Linköping edition is arranged by IK Akele and GeBlod Östergötland. People take part on their own or in teams with colleagues and friends. The organiser lists 10772 participants in 2026, and everyone who takes part receives a shirt and a medal.

Both timed courses start at the southern end of Stångebrofältet and finish near Gumpekullabron. The 5 km course runs through the city centre past Ådalaparken, Trädgårdstorget and Storgatan. The 10 km course goes under Drottningbron, through Tannefors and Hejdegården and along Tinnerbäcken, then joins the 5 km route at the cycle bridge over Mahoniadalen. The organiser states that both courses are measured and certified by World Athletics, with water stations along the way.

The day has a 5 km and a 10 km class with timing, and the 5 km can also be walked without timing. Children have Lilla Blodomloppet on short courses of their own. Start groups go off in waves through the evening, with warm-ups and live music before the starts. For those who come to watch, the event area on Stångebro Sportfält has team tents and the finish, and Linköpings Resecentrum is a short walk away. Several streets in the centre are closed during the event.

A person taking part can choose to share their own live position on Livebib from the phone they carry, so friends and family can follow from home. This is not the organiser's timing. Official results come from the organiser.
