Walk, jog or run for blood donation in Karlskrona

Blodomloppet Karlskrona is a run and walk in support of blood donation, starting and finishing at Västra Marks idrottsplats in Karlskrona.

Blodomloppet Karlskrona is the Karlskrona stop in the Blodomloppet series, a run and walk held to draw attention to blood donation, which the organiser calls vital. It is open to everyone, whether you want to walk, jog or run, with colleagues, with friends or on your own. You can enter on your own or as a team, and members of the same team can take part in different distances.

Start and finish are at Västra Marks idrottsplats in Karlskrona. The organiser offers four courses, and says they have been measured by an official from Svenska Friidrottsförbundet and meet the requirements for competitive races. Walkers have a course of their own. This lets them set off first, so that everyone can share a picnic afterwards, whether they walked or ran. There is water and squash along the courses, and medical staff are at the arena and at the drink stations.

The programme has a timed 10 km run, a timed 5 km run, a 5 km walk and Lilla Blodomloppet, a children's race of 800 m. The edition is on 19 May 2027. Everyone who takes part gets a shirt and a medal.

Friends and family can wait at Västra Mark, where the field starts and finishes. Those following from home can watch on Livebib if a participant chooses to share their own live position from their phone. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
