A run for blood donation in Borlänge

Blodomloppet Borlänge is a walk, jog or run for blood donation, starting from the event area between Maserhallen and Sportfältet in Borlänge.

Blodomloppet is a series of fun runs held in towns across Sweden to draw attention to the need for blood donation. In Borlänge it is organised by Stora Tuna OK and Kvarnsvedens GOIF Friidrott together with Blodcentralerna i Dalarna, and the organiser counts 5286 participants in 2026. People walk, jog or run, alone or in teams with colleagues and friends, and team entries include a picnic bag collected after the finish.

The event area lies between Maserhallen and Sportfältet. The 5 km and 10 km running loops head north over Sportfältet and split at Storsvängen. The walking route goes down towards Borlänge centrum and has no finish arch, it ends at the fruit and medal tables. Lilla Blodomloppet for children is about 800 m around the event area.

On 31 May 2027 the field can choose the timed Dam/herr 10K or Dam/herr 5K, the 5 km walk, or Lilla Blodomloppet. In the current programme, which the organiser says will be updated for 2027, Lilla Blodomloppet starts at 17.00, the 10 km at 18.00 and the 5 km run from 18.20. Friskis&Svettis leads a warm up in the start area, and prizes are presented on the stage around 19.30.

A person taking part can choose to share their own live position on Livebib from the phone they carry, so friends and family can follow along from home. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from the organiser.
