After Saturday’s 2,720 metres, Sunday’s stage is the runnable one: 38.5 km and 860 metres of ascent on a varied loop across the ridges between the Elztal and the Kinzigtal, on single trails and wide forest tracks. Aid stations stand at the Gasthaus Biereck car park in Hofstetten (8.5 km), the sports ground in Mühlenbach (16.4 km), Rossiweg in Biederbach-Bachere (27.5 km) and the school grounds in Elzach (37.5 km), a kilometre before the finish.

The time limit is 5 h 30. The only mandatory item is a switched-on smartphone with the emergency number saved, and there is no gear check. The stage closes the Masters ranking, whose award ceremony follows at 14:30 together with this race’s own, but it can also be entered as a single race and carries 1 ITRA point. Age groups run in ten-year bands from 18 to 80.
