Spinneys Beirut Marathon, live.

Downtown Beirut, the seafront and Martyrs' Square

The Spinneys Beirut Marathon is the high point of Lebanon's running year, with races for elite athletes, families and fundraisers through the capital.

The Spinneys Beirut Marathon takes place on Sunday 29 November 2026, organised by the Beirut Marathon Association. Last year runners from 63 countries took part. The programme covers the marathon over 42.195 km, the half marathon over 21.1 km, a 10 km race, a para athlete half marathon, a 2 km youth race and a 6 km fund run.

Every race starts in front of the Al Nahar building in downtown Beirut and finishes on Martyrs' Square. The para athlete half marathon goes first at 05:45, the marathon and half marathon follow together at 06:30, and the 10 km starts at 07:45. The youth race starts at 09:30 and the fund run at 10:15. The organiser promises views of the Mediterranean coastline, and on the marathon there is water every few kilometres, with dates and bananas at several stations.

The marathon is open from 18 and the 10 km from 16, and pacers cover marathon finish times from 3:00 to 7:00 hours. The 6 km fund run is open to everyone, and for each entry the association gives 7 dollars to the NGO the participant chooses, which makes it the natural way in for people who want to take part without racing. Registration closes on 20 November 2026, or earlier if a race sells out.

Spectators should arrive early. The gathering area in the parking facing the Lebanese Army Naval Base opens from 04:30, and parking at Beirut Souks is free until 10:00. Martyrs' Square is the place to see participants finish, with the long races on the right side and the shorter ones on the left.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser of the Spinneys Beirut Marathon.
