Bauer Triathlon, live.

A middle distance through the Småland countryside

Bauer Triathlon is a middle distance and sprint triathlon from Bauergården at lake Bunn, just north of Jönköping, on Saturday 5 June 2027.

The race is run by Bauer Activities and is built around Bauergården Gästgiveri, where the transition area, food, showers and the sponsor tent all sit. The organiser's own tagline is "the world's most beautiful triathlon course", at least according to past participants, and the race is known for its views and its friendly, familiar atmosphere.

The middle distance is 1900 m of swimming, 90 km on the bike and 21 km of running. The swim is a single lap in lake Bunn with a rolling start in pairs from land. The bike rolls through the Småland countryside with several climbs, winding sections and three turnaround points. The run is a multi-lap course on narrow roads with demanding hills and views to match, so you meet other athletes often. The middle distance starts at 09:30.

The sprint uses parts of the same course: 400 m in the lake, about 16 km on the bike out and back, and 5 km of running on the hilly loop. It starts at 10:00 and has an open class that needs no licence, which makes it a good first triathlon. There are no cut-off times on any leg, and the finish stays open until the last athlete is home.

The organiser describes the course as spectator friendly and close to Jönköping, and every run lap of about 5 km starts from Bauergården, uphill on the way out and downhill on the way back. Bauergården has around 50 beds that go quickly, with more places to stay in Gränna and Örserum.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry during the race. That is the athlete's own sharing and not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
