A March half marathon through the streets of Bath

The Bath Half is a 13.1 mile road race through the traffic free streets of Bath, held on Sunday 14 March 2027.

The race was first held in 1982, and the organiser calls it one of the UK's most prestigious half marathons and the largest charity fundraising event in south west England. Each March thousands of people take on 13.1 miles in the heart of the city, and since 2000 more than 30 million pounds has been raised for charity at the event.

The 2027 edition is on Sunday 14 March. The start line is at Royal Victoria Park, and the organiser describes the terrain as fast and flat road. Drinks stations along the route serve water and energy gels, and four cheer buses stand around the course while live bands such as the BathTub Orchestra provide a soundtrack to the 13.1 miles.

The organiser points anyone who missed out on general entry to charity places, a way to take part while raising money for a cause you care about.

The day before, on Saturday 13 March, the GetPRO Bath Miles are free to enter, and every participant gets a souvenir medal. On Sunday the race runs through traffic free streets, and the organiser's site has pages on the shuttle bus and the road closures. Gazebos in the finish area hold a Sensory Calm Space, a Parent and Child Space and a Multi Faith Prayer Space.
