Four out and back spurs from Goring
The Autumn 100 is a 100 mile trail race made of four 25 mile out and back legs on the Ridgeway and Thames Path, all from Goring-on-Thames.
Centurion Running's Autumn 100 starts at 09:00 on Saturday 16 October 2027 from Goring Village Hall in Goring-on-Thames, which is also registration, race HQ and the finish. Runners have 28 hours, and up to 250 people start.
The course is 100 miles (161 km) with about 1,500 m of climb, around 80% trail. It is shaped like a cross: the first leg goes out along the Thames Path to Little Wittenham and back, the second climbs the Ridgeway to Swyncombe Farm, the third heads west on the Ridgeway to Chain Hill, and the last follows the Thames Path to Reading and back. In a dry spell the route is flat and fast, but October brings up to 13 hours of darkness and the chance of cold, wet and windy weather.
Drop bags can be used in Goring at miles 25, 50, 75 and 100, and pacers may join only for the final 25 miles. To start, runners need a 50 mile race finished within 15 hours since 1 January 2022. All finishers receive a buckle, and those under 24 hours a one-day buckle.
Crews are not permitted at this race, because of the size of the aid station locations and the pressure on the local community. The course records are 13:03:59 and 15:22:00.
On Livebib you can follow a participant live when they choose to share the position of the phone they carry. That position comes from the participant's own phone and is not the organiser's timing, so official results and checkpoint splits come from the organiser.
