Åre Extreme Lake
Sixty-three kilometres and 1,838 metres of climbing, split into fifteen kilometres of paddling, 14.6 of mountain running and 33.6 on the mountain bike. The Lake course replaces the classic river paddle with a lake section, which makes the first leg less technical without making the day any shorter — the run still goes up onto Åreskutan and the bike leg still comes back down the same rocky singletrack into Åre torg.
It is the version of the race built for athletes who want the mountain without the whitewater, and it shares transitions, aid and finish with the classic course. This page belongs to the 2026 edition of Åre Extreme Lake. On Livebib, supporters follow the athlete across all three legs on one map, with an arrival estimate for each transition and for the finish in the square.
