Vista Mountain Herrar/Damer sport

Sport riders race three laps of the 3.5 km course, 10.5 km in all, with the start loop on the first lap. It is the shorter of the two competition laps, without the long course’s extra descent and climb, and it runs through the same ravine-rich deciduous forest with no rocky sections. The technical and feed zone comes round once a lap. Trial rides are allowed on Friday from 18:00 and on race morning until 08:45.

This is the class for someone who wants to try an MTB race without an annual licence: a one-day licence costs 90 kronor through Cardskipper and must be bought before late entry, and the chip rental is included in the sport-class fee. Starting positions are drawn by lot, riders check in ten minutes before the start, and bibs are collected from 08:00 at the secretariat by the finish. The prize-giving for the sport classes is at about 10:30.

This page covers the 2026 edition. A first race is the one family most want to follow. On Livebib the rider shares a link to their broadcast, and family open it in a browser, no app or account, to see the position on the lap, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. In the ravines, where the phone can lose signal, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated, never shown as measured.
