The shortest course starts with its first kilometre on a gravel road and ends on the finish stretch every distance shares: from Vindeln church, mostly on gravel, across the bridge over the Vindelälven, past Västomån and Holmen, over the suspension bridge and a final kilometre downstream to the finish. The course is marked with white ribbons and staffed at some crossings.

There is one aid station with sports drink and water, at about 8 km, and crews may hand things over along the way. No equipment is mandatory because the course stays fairly close to the road, though a phone and some extra energy are recommended. Bibs are collected at the finish from 08:30 to 11:00, buses to the start leave from 11:15, and there is parking around the start. Food and fika are sold at the finish from 12:00, and prizes for the 13 and 26 km are given at about 13:30.

This page covers the 2026 edition. A runner in the 13 km often has family waiting at the finish while friends are out on the longer courses.
