Vasaloppet China 50 km

Worldloppet describes the Jingyuetan course as a single 25 km lap through the forest park, with terrain from moderate to very hilly, so the 50 km skiers go round it twice. That makes the arena the place to stand: you see the field at the start, at halfway and at the finish without moving. The organiser publishes 16:05 as the closing time for the day.

This is the distance the race was founded on: the first edition, on 15 March 2003, was a 50 km race. Worldloppet records 208 finishers in the main race in 2015 as its record. The organiser does not state the ski technique on its 2027 page, so check the race information before choosing skis.

This page is about the 2027 50 km. On Livebib the skier shares a link to their own broadcast, and whoever opens it sees which lap they are on, how far they have come and an updating finish estimate, in a browser with no app. If the signal drops among the trees, the position is carried along the course and marked estimated instead of freezing on the last fix.
