It is one lap of the course: Worldloppet describes a single 25 km loop through Jingyuetan National Forest Park, moderate to very hilly in places, which the 50 km skiers cover twice. The 25 km skiers finish where the long race passes halfway, so for supporters the arena shows both fields at once.

Sharing the start with the main race means skiing the first lap among the 50 km field, at their pace. For a skier who wants the Vasaloppet China course and atmosphere without the full marathon, this is the distance, and the afternoon is left for the festival around it.
