Vantaan Maraton 5 km

Vantaan Maraton 5 km

This page covers the 2026 5 km road race. The organiser places its start about 600 metres from the marathon start line; the finish is in Tikkurila Sports Park in front of the race office, as for every distance. It is the shortest adult race of the Vantaa Marathon programme, with men’s and women’s classes.

Because the 5 km and the marathon went off in the same minute from different lines, the same morning in Tikkurila holds both people setting out on four laps and people racing for twenty-odd minutes. The course runs on Tikkurila streets the organiser calls fast, and in 2026 it was adjusted slightly around the Vantaa light-rail works. The day’s programme also includes a children’s minimarathon of about 350 metres.

Even a short race has stretches where the runner is out of sight. The Livebib link shows family the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the run goes. It opens in a browser with no account and no app, and anything estimated is marked as estimated.
