Verbier X-Plore

The shortest of the adult trail races is a loop from Verbier. The first climb heads for Pierre Avoi and its panorama, then a hillside path runs with views of the Combin and Mont Blanc massifs to Cabane Mont-Fort. The course follows part of the Bisse du Levron irrigation channel before joining the route of the other races and finishing through Verbier.

Starts are given in waves by UTMB Index to avoid congestion; a later wave is allowed, an earlier one costs a two-hour penalty. The race carries 1 Running Stone. The race page still shows a 2026 date in its start-time section, so check the final timetable on the organiser’s site; the race date in the header is 11 July 2027.

On a Sunday morning loop the family is often in Verbier itself, and can be at the finish in minutes if they know when to go. A Livebib link shared by the runner shows the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates during the race, in a browser with no account or app. Where the phone loses signal on the far slopes, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated.
