Trail Découverte

The 1.2 km is built for the youngest. It goes up and down Medran street, and children may run it holding a parent’s hand. The 3.5 km adds a loop in the Verbier forest, with three age groups starting a little apart and a finish under the main arch. A Zumba warm-up comes before the start, and the limit is 30 minutes.

Categories run from Poussins B (born 2021–2023) and Poussins A (2019–2020) on the short course to Ecoliers C, B and A (born 2012–2018) on the longer one. Every child gets a finisher T-shirt, and the race is organised with the Verbier Swiss ski school, with a band, a clown and a face painter. Registration is online and needs no MyUTMB account. The prize-giving is at 10:30 at the Ermitage.

On a course this short most families simply stand at the arch. A Livebib broadcast only makes sense if the adult who runs alongside carries the phone, for a grandparent who could not come: it shows the position on the course line and the distance covered, in a browser with no account or app. The family decides who gets the link, and nobody else sees it.
