Terräng-SM 2026: Rocklunda, 24–25 October
Västerås hosts the championships at Rocklunda IP. The federation describes a predominantly grass, 2 km lap.
Sources checked 20 October 2026. Follow the organiser’s latest programme if instructions change.
Which day and distance?
The first start is 10:30 on both days, in local Swedish time. This is not the start time of every class: check the detailed programme before travelling.

Plan your viewing at Rocklunda
A repeated 2 km lap gives spectators a reason to stay at an approved viewing position rather than chase the runner around the course. Use the organiser’s map and marshals’ directions to find entrances and permitted crossings. Grass conditions can change with the weather; no particular shoe choice or dry surface is guaranteed.
Sweden changes from summer time overnight before Sunday’s races. Check your phone’s local time and set any manual watch back one hour. Saturday’s local time is CEST; Sunday’s is CET.
Start lists and official results
Use the organiser’s championship hub for published participant lists and result links as they become available. A participant list is not a result list, and this guide does not claim that final results are already published. Agree a meeting place outside the finish flow before the runner starts.
One championship, several races to follow
Terräng-SM brings Swedish cross-country championship races together, but a shared venue does not mean a shared distance or starting time.
Start with the runner’s championship class rather than the event’s first start. Senior short-course and long-course races, juniors, masters and para classes can appear in the same weekend programme. A spectator who knows only the overall event name can easily arrive for the wrong race. Confirm the day, class and distance with the runner, then use the organiser’s current programme for the precise assembly and starting instructions. The edition guide below separates the published distances without treating the first start of the day as every competitor’s gun time.
Cross-country viewing also needs a different plan from a city marathon. Choose a permitted position beside the course and let runners, officials and other spectators pass. A runner may return to the same section several times, so agree how you will recognise them and where to meet afterwards. Do not cross the racing line to take a photograph or assume a shared path remains open during competition.
Use the organiser’s timing and published results for official places. If a runner chooses to share a Livebib phone broadcast, that is a separate personal activity, not the championship timing service. Not every competitor broadcasts, and a phone position cannot establish a placing or replace a marshal’s instruction.
