Skagen 10 km
The start has moved for this edition: the 10 km and the 5 km no longer leave from the quay but from Vestre Strandvej by the harbour master’s house, with the finish still on Fiskehuskajen. The route is mainly asphalt and flat, with no significant hills, and mixes natural areas with the streets of Skagen’s old town, passing Den Tilsandede Kirke and Brøndums Hotel. The organiser notes that many runners have set personal bests here, and pitches it at experienced and new runners alike.
By 13:00 the marathon and half marathon are well under way, and traffic in town is partly closed. No time limit is published; prize giving for the 10 km is at 14:45 by the speaker tower.
