Rya Åsar Trail Run 5 km

Rya Åsar Trail Run 5 km

The organiser describes it as a beautiful 5 km course that runs mainly on good gravel roads along the nature reserve, with Ramshulan, Rävstigen, Ryssby Klint and Grönbo Hill along the way. The last two kilometres are the same as on the 12 and 24 km, so the finish comes on trail through the beech forest and into the same arena on the plateau. It is the gentlest way into the day, with most of the distance on gravel road rather than trail.

There is a single start for everyone at 11:30 and room for 150 runners. Prize-giving for the 5 km is at about 12:25. Kids Trail Run, over 800 m for ages 6–8 at 10:30 and 1.8 km for ages 9–13 at 10:40, is held just before, which makes the 5 km a good fit for families who are already at the plateau for the children’s races.

This page covers the 2026 5 km. On Livebib the runner shares a link, and whoever is waiting at the finish opens it in a browser, with no account and no app, to see the runner’s position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate. If the phone drops its signal, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated.
