Both banks of the Vltava, under the castle

A flat spring half marathon on cobbles and embankments, with Prague Castle above the course for most of it.

The Generali Prague Half Marathon is RunCzech’s spring cornerstone and one of the SuperHalfs races. The course starts and finishes on Rašínovo nábřeží and runs both banks of the Vltava, crossing the historic bridges with the castle on the hill above — a flat, fast circuit that regularly produces sub-60 winning times and draws fifteen thousand runners from eighty nations.

It is a race where the scenery genuinely helps: there is almost no elevation to speak of, and the river keeps the course cool in early April. Livebib puts the loop on the map with the runner on it, distance covered, and an arrival estimate for the finish on the embankment that updates with every split. One link, free to watch, nothing to install — which is what a family standing on a bridge actually needs.
