Pirkan Kieppi 14 km

Pirkan Kieppi 14 km

Kieppi starts and finishes in the Hölkkä’s finish area, so it is a loop through south Tampere rather than a line between towns. The organiser lists the way: past Lahdesjärvi into Vuores, through Vuores central park, over the Tervassilta bridge and the Vuoreksen puistotie bridge, past the Mäyrämäenkatu junction and over the Ruskonkehä bridge, along Kaskimäentie and Vanha Hervannantie to Vormisto, and on paths through Hervanta and around Särkijärvi.

Most of it is cycle and pedestrian path, park path and forest edge, and the route crosses the motorway on a cycle path. At the Vormisto aid station Kieppi joins the Hölkkä route and shares its last kilometres to the line. Timing is gross, from the gun to the finish, with two general classes. Late entry is taken at the start from 10:00 to 11:00, and the finish has dressing rooms, showers and a lunch café.

From Vormisto on, Kieppi runners share the trail with the 33 km field. The runner can share their own Livebib link, which opens in a browser without an account or app and shows the position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Anything estimated is marked so, and if the phone loses signal on the forest paths the dot is carried forward along the course rather than frozen.
