Four start towns, one finish at the Fuschlsee

Six races on one Saturday in the Salzkammergut, starting in four different places and all running home to the same lake.

mozart 100 by UTMB is held on Saturday 5 June 2027 between the Wolfgangsee and the Fuschlsee, east of Salzburg. The mozart 100 starts in Fuschl am See at 05:00 for 119 kilometres and 6,000 metres of climbing, with 24 hours. The mozart Ultra and the four-stage Ultra Relay leave St. Gilgen at 07:30 for 84 kilometres and 4,800 metres. The Marathon (44 km, 1,600 m) starts in Faistenau at 11:00, the Half Marathon (28 km, 1,100 m) in Koppl at 11:30, and the Lake Trail (12 km, 200 m) circles the Fuschlsee from 12:00.

The two long races are built around two mountains: the Schafberg above the Wolfgangsee and the Zwölferhorn above St. Gilgen, with forest trails along the lake’s southern shore between them. The shorter races come in from the Salzburg side instead, over the Gaisberg with its view across the city, across the Nockstein and down through Hof to the southern shore of the Fuschlsee. Whichever start you choose, the last kilometres are by the water and the finish is in Fuschl am See.

That shape is good news for anyone waiting: everyone ends up in the same place, but at very different times of day.
