Sixty-nine kilometres of the last section of the Pennine Way, over the Cheviot ridge to the Scottish border. It is the shortest race of the Spine week and by no means the easiest: the Cheviots are remote, wet and entirely exposed, the ground is peat hag and flagstone, and in January the daylight runs out well before most of the field does.

Finishing at the Border Hotel means Sprint North runners share their finish line with people who have been on the trail for the better part of a week. This page is the 2027 edition.
