By way of Hawaii-hålan to Ränna krok

A trail race in the forests around Magra, with three distances that all go off on the same gun at ten.

Magra Terränglopp is run on Sunday 4 October 2026 from Magra idrottsplats outside Sollebrunn, about 25 km from Alingsås and 40 km from Trollhättan. The organiser is the local club Magra IS. All three distances, 4.5, 9.5 and 15 km, start together at 10:00. The courses follow trails, forest roads and gravel roads, are marked with tape and signs at junctions, and the organiser notes that distances may shift slightly because of logging.

The courses go by place names rather than numbers. The short one runs Magra–Gröndalen–Magra. The middle distance heads out over Hawaii-hålan to Ränna krok and home, and the 15 km carries on from Ränna krok to Ränne before turning back to the sports ground. After 6.8 km, at Ränna krok, the drinks control serves water and sports drink for both the 9.5 and the 15 km. At the finish there are hot dogs, coffee and a bun, and the club house has showers and a sauna.

When everyone starts at once and the courses split out in the forest, nobody at the club house knows who is where. With Livebib, the runner shares a link to their own broadcast, and family open it in a browser with no account and no app: the position on the course line, the distance so far and a finish estimate that updates during the race. If the phone loses signal under the trees, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated rather than freezing. The runner decides who gets the link.
