Volvo Polmaratón

Half marathoners run one lap of the same city loop as the marathon: 21.097 km on asphalt, based on the route of the 1997 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships, starting and finishing on Hlavná ulica between the DoubleTree by Hilton and the Dargov department store. The organiser describes the course as having no significant elevation changes; the whole loop stays between 200.70 and 217.05 m above sea level.

Refreshment stations every 5 km offer water, isotonic drink and fruit, with water-only stations in between. Pacers cover target times from 1:25 to 2:15. The half is open from age 16. Kilometre markers stand at every kilometre, and an inline and handbike race goes off at 08:45 on its own 20 km course.

This page belongs to the 2026 Volvo Half Marathon. On Livebib the runner shares a link to their own broadcast, and friends open it in a browser without an account or an app. They see the position on the loop, the distance covered and a finish estimate for Hlavná ulica that updates as the race goes; anything estimated is marked as estimated.
