Syyslenkki polkujuoksu 12,0 km

The long route takes in everything the forest around the resort has. After a few hundred metres of gravel and wide path come about 2 km of rooty, partly rocky trail, a short road transfer, a smaller well-surfaced path and about a kilometre of road and ski track to the Keurusselkä sports park. From there the route climbs Montosvuori on a marked path, turns right after the summit through a forest stretch with 3D archery targets, and descends towards the former Pioneer regiment barracks.

Around 6 km the route heads to Peurunniemi on an out-and-back ski track, past a bunker and up a hill, and then follows about a kilometre of the Keurusselkä shore path, marked with blue dots on trees. The only water point is self-service, at about 7.5 km, for refilling your own bottle; personal support anywhere on the route is allowed. The last stretch runs on ski track and a 200 m disc golf fairway back to the resort. No time limit is published.

With one water point and an open course through forest, the family at the hotel has little to go on. The runner’s own Livebib link opens in a browser with no account, showing the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes, marked as an estimate. If the phone drops signal on the shore or behind the hill, the position is carried along the course and marked estimated rather than frozen.
