The 9 km loop is the full MTB loop with two shortcuts. It starts the same way: gravel and wide path, then about 400 m of the most technical trail on the course with its rocks and roots, a sharp right onto about 700 m of road, a good-surfaced trail and about a kilometre of mixed road and ski track to the Keurusselkä sports park, across the hotel road at a guarded crossing.

From the sports park the riders climb Montosvuori on a steep, narrow but well-surfaced trail. Where the long loop goes through the Kolhontie underpass, the 9 km leaves just before the tunnel, and it takes a second shortcut at the corner of the former Pioneer regiment barracks, skipping Peurunniemi. The way home is mostly ski track and a 200 m wooded disc golf fairway the organiser calls rideable with good lines. The MTB event, new in 2026, has children’s, fitness and e-bike series.

A short ride still disappears into the forest for most of its length. The rider shares their own Livebib link, which family open in a browser with no account or app to see the position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the ride goes, marked as an estimate. If the phone loses signal under the trees the position is carried forward along the loop instead of freezing on the map.
