For the first 162.5 kilometres Istria209 rides the same road as the long course. It passes Balići, Intersection A, at km 55.5, which closes at 09:30 for both long courses; a later rider is redirected onto Istria135. At Brhaji, Intersection C, km 162.5, Istria209 turns back toward Poreč while Istria300 carries on. The cut-off there is 14:45 for Istria209, an hour later than for the long course, and the next one is Katun Trviški at km 173.5 by 15:30. After that a rider behind time rides on in open traffic. The finish in Poreč closes at 19:05.

The organiser’s feed-zone table lists Svetvinčenat at km 44, Labin at km 117 and Žminj at km 144 on this course. Because the course is decided at Brhaji, Istria209 is also where long-course riders end up if they reach Intersection C after 13:45.
