Trail races below the Hochkönig, from Maria Alm

The Hochkönig Ultraks brings five trail races to Maria Alm in the Salzburg mountains from 4 to 6 June 2027, as part of the Ultraks series.

Most races start and finish in the centre of Maria Alm, at the festival area. The routes also pass through Dienten and Mühlbach. The series includes sister races in Zermatt below the Matterhorn, Mayrhofen, the Bernina region and Villars.

Saturday 5 June is the long day. The HK70 covers 71.5 km with 4,150 metres of climbing and starts at 05:00, with a shuttle to its start and the finish in Maria Alm. The HK48 over 48 km and 2,940 metres starts at 06:30 and the HK30 Panorama over 30.7 km and 2,050 metres at 07:30.

On Sunday 6 June the HK30 Extreme over 34 km and 2,680 metres starts at 07:30. It needs an ITRA performance index of 450. The HK20 over 20.5 km and 1,020 metres starts at 08:00 and is the right entry point for people new to mountain trails.

The time limit is 12.5 hours for the HK48 and 6 hours for the HK20. The weekend opens on Friday 4 June with the Raiffeisen Team Trail at 15:00, then the Vertical Race and the Mini Ultraks for children and young people, over 0.5 to 1.5 km, at 17:00.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Hochkönig Ultraks.
